Our History
The Stockingford Allotments Association was founded on 29th December 1919. During the renovations taking place at the club we have commenced a major project to protect the history of the Stockingford Allotment Association.
We have uncovered archival material going back many years. Sadly a lot of it has been neglected but we intend to restore and protect it by scanning the Archive and save it into digital files that will eventually be accessible online to all members of the club.
A superficial search of some of the documents discovered a Bank Book in the name of the Stockingford Allotment Association and the account appeared to have been opened on 7th April 1920.
Children are welcome, though, if you do choose to bring them, we expect them to be well-behaved and to be properly supervised and accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Out of consideration for other members and guests, children are NOT permitted to run around inside or outside the club and are asked to stay off the dance floor when a band is performing unless they are dancing with an adult and away from the bar area.
Head out of Nuneaton on the B4112 ( Ansley Road) towards Ansley. You will pass the two round towers (Arbury Hall) and then Astley Lane on your left hand side. Approx 100m further on on the right is the entrance to the Pavilion. It is signposted at the entrance but the entrance is quite concealed between houses.
